captjamieway: John and Aeryn are frelling hot! (s/j - seize the day)

I'm so glad my shows are all coming back on. American Idol started last week. I kind of hate this part of AI... because I don't give a crap about the beginning auditions. I don't want to hear people in costumes singing off-key and then fighting with the judges over how good they sound... But we have to get through this to get to the good stuff.

Fringe also came back tonight. Have I mentioned recently how much I love Walter? And Peter (*melt*) and Walter together is just so much love. The more I watch this show, the more I like it.

And, Lost is on tomorrow!!! God, it's been gone so long. I probably should have been watching episode reruns just so I can remember what the hell is going on, lol.

The rest of my shows (Heroes, TSSC, *cough* Survivor) all come back on in February... and I'm thinking about checking out Dollhouse when it starts.

I'm still in the middle of Season 2 of BSG. The last episodes I watched was the "Home" two-parter, which I loved. I ended up buying Season 4.0 over the weekend and I'll be taping the 4.5 episodes as they air on TV. So hopefully, at some point, I'll be all set and caught up to watch the last few episodes live.

I miss SGA.

And, unrelated, but I love Kelly Clarkson's new single, "My Life Would Suck Without You"!

Lol... I've been doing really well the last couple of days. Yesterday morning I was carrying some things (so I couldn't see the floor) & I tripped over some stuff in my room (although I didn't fall) & cut my ankle... then last night my dad & I were out for a walk & there was a dip in the pavement & I guess my foot hit the top of the dip & I went down, I rolled, & then I came back up with a couple of scrapes. Lol, luckily I didn't do any damage bone or muscle wise. It's just amazing how graceful I am though...

The KCMB seems to be down again. Lol, I've gotten 2 emails saying it's back up & it's up for a couple of hours & then it's back down again. Oh well.. maybe soon.

Only one day left before 2003 is gone & 2004 is here. I had a really good Christmas. I did catch a bug a few days before Christmas & am just now finally getting over it, but it didn't keep me from having fun on Christmas. We always open presents Christmas morning at our house & then we drive down to my oldest sister's house to spend Christmas with the rest of our family. When I was little, opening presents used to be the most fun thing but for the past some-odd years I have really enjoyed spending the day with my family most of all. Don't get me wrong, the presents are way fun too, lol. But I think if I just got to open my presents at home, & didn't get to see the rest of my family, it would take a lot out of Christmas (nothing can take away from the true meaning of Christmas, but you get the idea).

Speaking of presents though, I finally got a DVD player & yes... you don't see it often on here but the Trekkie in me is about to come out. One of the main reasons I wanted a DVD player is because the Star Trek: Voyager DVD's are going to start coming out this Febraury. I can't wait! Right now I only have 3 DVD movies ("Finding Nemo" & a couple of Bob Hope/Bing Crosby Road movies) & some DVD Music Videos (Kelly Clarkson & Martina McBride), but I am looking forward to building my DVD collection. You will see me by that $5.88 DVD bin at Walmart often. Lol.

I also got Ruben Studdard's CD & I am impressed. It's going to take a little getting used to because I honestly don't really listen to R&B... but he's got some good stuff on there. I especially like the last track "We Have Not Forgotten". This is the... 5th CD I've gotten from a talent show contestant this past year. I've also gotten the debut CD's of Jake Simpson (Star Search winner), Kelly Clarkson (American Idol 1 winner), Buddy Jewell (Nashville Star winner), & Clay Aiken (American Idol 2 contestant). I would personally rate them (in order from Best to Worst):

Buddy Jewell
Kelly Clarkson
Ruben Studdard
Clay Aiken
Jake Simpson

The first 2 are almost a tie... they both have really awesome songs, awesome vocals.... What broke the tie for me is the fact that Buddy put his record out in almost no time flat. I have no idea how he did it so fast but the quality is as good as somebody who took 2 years to put an album together. I have, however, listened to Kelly's CD more... probably because she's a girl, I'm a girl, & her CD is really fun to sing along with. I dunno, they're pretty much a tie, it's so hard to choose. I'm gonna shut up about that now.

Hmm... this reminds me of the fact that I never got Justin Guarini's CD... there's another thing on my list of things to do.

Something that has been on my mind all day, that shouldn't be on my mind all day because it's not really an earth-shattering thing... but it really annoys me, is that Alan Jackson & Martina McBride (both of whom I love to death) are touring together next year (2004) and they don't have ANY FL dates listed. They have like 3 dates listed in several small states & it seems so unfair. I want to see them both so bad. I am so disappointed. I hope they add some FL dates or I am going to have a pity party & you better watch out or one of you may be invited (haha, Michelle, Jennie, & Becca.. you already have been). On the bright side though... 2 of my favorite artists (Josh Turner & Joe Nichols) are going to be touring together with Brooks & Dunn. AAAAAnd, Brad Paisley & Joe Nichols are going to be at Sea World on the same day. These are 2 must see shows for me. They're like just about as perfect as they can be... unless you replace Brooks & Dunn with Brad & then they would all be in the same place at the same time & that would be 100% perfect... But NOTHING is perfect... so I'll settle for almost perfect.

If anybody has actually read this whole thing.. this means 1 (or more) of 3 things.. either 1st, you're really bored... 2nd, you're putting off homework... or 3rd, you're just a good friend and actually care what I have to say/think.

Whatever the reason is, thanks :)

Here's to 2004!

Hey. I'm just sittin' here watching "Rugrats". Lol, it's actually one that I've never seen before.
Lol, I just saw a commercial for Kidz Bop 4 & one of the songs that they do on it is "Miss Independent" (Kelly Clarkson) & it's really weird to hear kids singing that song...
Today I decided to go ahead & get back on my diet cuz me & a group of people have decided to lose 15 pounds by August 31... so we'll see how that goes.
Lol, last night my Grandma came over & we had dinner & then played cards. We played Rummy & I did really bad (2nd to last). But it was still a lot of fun.
Lol, my niece taught me a new (to me) game when she was here last... It's called Spit & I realized that my reflexes aren't what they used to be. We played prolly like 6 or 7 hands & I only won 1 (the last hand we played) the whole time.

Before I had this Live Journal I had signed up with blogger.com & this is the entry I had in there...

We have had a lot of company (for us) lately, but it's all been fun! First my cousin Cindy was down & then my niece Brittney was over, & my cousin Danielle just left.
When she was here we went to see 2 movies (The Hulk & From Justin to Kelly). I have been looking forward to both for a long time. I really liked "The Hulk" more than I thought I would. I've always liked the tv show (the non-cartoon one), but when I saw the previews on tv it looked really fake. It looks a ton better in the theaters tho. If that's holding u back, you should go & see it! I also liked "From Justin To Kelly". I'm not really into all of the dancing & stuff, but I thought the acting & the singing was good (especially the singing). I know it's not doing too well in the theaters (we were the only 2 people in the whole theater seeing it) but I think it's because not many people are giving it a chance. Anybody who hasn't seen it... go & watch with an open mind. It's really not bad, especially since it's both Justin & Kelly's first movie.
We also went to the arcade after we saw "The Hulk". That was a lot of fun. It really does suck your money out of your wallet fast tho. Lol... we spent like $15 total (considering we were all broke, that was a lot) & all we got for a prize was a tiny slinky (which I broke... because my cousin was like... the metal ones don't get tangled up like the plastic ones do... so dumby me had to go & see if I could tangle it up, lol), a deck of cards, & 3 temp tattoos (which all would have comed to like... what... $3.00?). The games were fun though. Lol... I felt soooo bad for my dad though. My cousin & I were playing this basketball game.. & I had won that & then my dad goes up to it (prolly wanting to show off a bit for his daughter & niece) & he only got like 4 points (my cousin had gotten like 10 & I had 22). Lol... I felt bad, but that didn't stop me from laughing.
I should get going, I may stop in later today tho. Bye!
